tmbreck: Well, as sane as can be expected. (relevant to my interests)
Okay, so I was discussing the differences between Reboot!Spock and TOS!Spock with my husband, and he's pinpointed, at least in my mind, why they are different.

It's Sarek. In The Final Frontier, when presented with his son, he's offended at how human his son is*. However, in the new movie's deleted scenes, Sarek doesn't come off as douche-y and disappointed. Basically, we get a softer, more understanding Sarek.

Why?

My husband started in on this whole 'they went to another reality, the differences don't just start at Nero' bit. Me, I'm like, they fucking created a new reality when Nero popped through. So then I started thinking about what would change Sarek. I then came up with the idea that someone did a time travel thing like when Spock went back in ST:TAS Yesteryear and saved himself. But, I'm thinking it would have to be a human in order to make this version of Sarek as accepting of his son's human side.

Your thoughts?

* Going by memory, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, if you love Stephen King and will watch just about any movie with Christian Slater in it. Yes, I watched and even enjoyed Kuffs, what of it?

It made me squeal like a teen in the 90's at a NKotB concert!

I bought You off of iTunes today. I have it on my ipod, and will probably be watching it very soon. I'll let you all know what I think then.
